The San Diego River Park Foundation hosted a mural painting project. Several murals were sketched and the community was invited to complete each part of this chain of paintings. These beautiful murals hang on both sides of the fence at the Edgemoor Barn, which is now houses the Santee Historical Society
Sketches were created by a local artist featured here. She then enjoyed not only helping to complete the paintings, but helped others show their artistic skills as well.
Children and adults enjoyed this colorful activity.
There were so many volunteers helping.
And great sponsors too.
This evert was held at Santee's Historical Society Barn. A barn we always referred to as the Polo Barn, but it turns out it was not the polo barn. You will have to stop by to hear all the interesting facts of this amazing building and property.
It was a day filled with laughter, paint and smiles as everyone celebrated the San Diego River Foundation Discovery Days. Thank you to all the volunteers and DeVerna for organizing this great event.
Swing by and see these beautiful murals that line the drive of the Santee Historical Society, courtesy of the San Diego River Fountation and Allegiance Air Conditioning and Heating.
It was a fun day for all.
